Wet Look

I agree with Vernon A from Class 95FM that yesterday can't be Sunday. It has been raining so much and so heavily that the day before must be a Rain-day. It has been raining for the past few weeks that it must be due to the northeast monsoon.

I was chatting with a friend and she asked me if I liked the rain. She then said the rain can be quite a beautiful sight especially when you are not going out. How true it is that those who want to go out may have their spirits dampened. And as I gazed out of my window, I saw a watery illusion of the world washed in rain and marveled at its splendour.

I really admire my friend's positive outlook of life. We all need to think positive, no matter how much life gets us down and we'll do well in life. Sometimes it's no use being miserable and we should just look on the brighter side of matters. As the final sentence of the Desiderata says: Strive to be happy.

Another look at the weather: With all the rain, it looks like the 'wet' look is in style now.

I agree with your friend. Rainy days are the best when you stay at home. There's nothing more cosy than being in bed, falling asleep to the rain on the gutters...

I used to watch the rain from the windows when I was young. Big drops falling into puddles. My mother used to call them 'mushrooms'.

I've always found watching rain very magical. Especially when you're all rugged up and warm in the dry.

There's a running joke in my family about how, when you're young, walking in the rain with your beloved is the most romantic thing in the world. When you're old and walking in the rain, it's all about trying to get out of it, so as not to get rheumatism.

Guess it's all a matter of perspective eh? ;)
