How each of us can change the world

People have often asked what drives me to volunteer in community work and in the words of famous explorer, Dr David Livingstone, "The noblest thing a man can do is, just humbly to receive, and then go amongst others and give.

There is a time in life, after seeing how the world is, you will reach a certain realisation and become thankful for all that you have received. That's the period when you would naturally just start giving back to society as if answering the call of a higher power.

It's not about the amount you give and very many times in life, it's the little things that matters a lot. Every little deed that is done, we may not know it, may have a much larger impact on someone or society as a whole.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
