I was chatting to an ex-colleague and he was describing about how the bosses were. He had them profiled as having served many years in the company and worked their way up. Over the years they have forged relationships with their peers and would naturally jump to their defense some times without fully understanding the situation.
Yet being close to retirement and being well-established puts them in no danger in getting the sack, and my ex-colleague was wondering why they don't choose to "do the right thing". It could be it's easier to choose the status quo and go off peacefully instead of with a bang!
The consequence of that, however, is that the subordinates will suffer. Many take the brunt of the shortcomings of such bosses and inevitably some will leave. Only when one looks back, then one can see what one has done.
Jet - Look what you've done
Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to prove
Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won
Give me back my point of view
'Cause I just can't think for you
I can hardly hear you say
What should I do, well you choose
*Chorus
Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won
Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to do
*Chorus
