My colleague was in a pensive mood. He looked up from his trance-like state during lunch and began, "It really makes me wonder what sort of people this world is made up of."

He was wondering about many things including how his boss became his boss. He was wondering if it didn't take much to be a boss, then who knows one day he'll be the boss as well. He used to complain a lot about how his boss could have done things in a better way but now he has viewed the situation in a new light. If it doesn't take much to be a boss means there's a chance he'll be the boss some day.

With this revelation of sorts, he has complained lesser ever since and more hopeful that some day it'll be his turn to rise the ranks.
