Happy Mother's Day!

Whenever I speak about my mother, it's really all mixed feelings. Being a guy means that I'm seldom very expressive about my feelings and it manifests in the way I actually treat my mum.

In my heart I do treasure her deeply because of the many memories I have of her in my life. There are many important moments where she had made a difference in my life. It is the same moments when I felt so loved.

Though her concern can be in the form of incessant nagging and sometimes stifling, I knew she had the best of intentions. As I grew older, I knew I had to make decisions on my own, some of which against my mother's wishes. Yet as far as possible, I tried to keep it a minimum and minor.

Though it would be awkward for me to express my love for her openly, I would from time to time show my appreciation in the form of gifts and treats. It doesn't take a Mother's Day for me to show my appreciation, but perhaps this blog entry can be considered as a sort of dedication to my mother.

To all the mothers out there, have a Happy Mother's Day!
