Life's a marathon

My life has been quite a marathon in recent times, or to be more exact since the time I had been sent to Hong Kong (See New Year, New Place) over the new year period.

Although I have been back in Singapore for about 2 weeks, I've been pretty much up to my neck in work, rushing to clear the backlog created by the work stuff in Hong Kong. Basically, I've been trying to play "catch-up". It's so strange that I had just came back from a "race" in Hong Kong and the moment I reach Singapore I have to continue "running".

It seems life is like a marathon and it seems the toughest part is near the end of the marathon. Near the end, you are struggling with physical exhaustion as well as mental endurance. On one hand, there's a voice in the head that wants so badly to give up and break down, but it takes lots of perseverance to keep going. Due to exhaustion, your mind may even play tricks on you, giving you false illusions of the finish line.

Everyone has their own marathon in life and if we keep running, we'll eventually get there, wherever "there" may be.

I know that I've neglected my blog but now as I try to pick back the pieces of my life, I will try my best to populate my blog with entries.
