It is said that moments before your death and your life flashes quickly past you as if a movie replayed in fast forward. What would you do if you knew you had only moments left to live?
Grace Chow who was born in Singapore but thereafter settled in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, was diagnosed with a chordoma in the skull base, an extremely rare tumour for which there is no cure in 2001. Despite her complicated condition, she published a book entitled "A Pain in the Neck" in October 2004. The last weeks before dying peacefully in her sleep on 6 December 2004 she wrote a blog called Dying Is... (http://dyingis.blogspot.com) which describes her final moments.
Read her blog and perhaps even get her book which tells how a young, well-educated Chinese girl desperately flees a repressive Singapore to find happiness in the free West. (http://www.gracechow.info) Rest in peace, Grace...
